Does this guy f*cking work or what?

Obama has already played more rounds of golf in his presidency than I have in my entire life. And I was on the f*cking golf team. Whatever.

Still, after seeing this, I'm just wondering if he'll have any time to devote to promising the things he said he'd deliver, like jobs, and tax breaks for everybody and unicorns and fuck all. Well, I didn't expect the unicorns. But hey! At least now that' he's president he has spare time to write introductions to people's books. One Nobel winner to another and all. Guess he could knock that out on his flight down to New Orleans...

Way to go Obama!

My posts lately have been awfully negative, so I'm sorry. I'll try to write something that's not negative. Well, how about Obama! He's such a swell guy, giving gifts to folks. Apparently, he gave a gift to Gordon Brown, a bunch of DVD's! Yay Obama! How Presidential of you to give such a intelligent and thoughtful gift! I mean, picking out 25 dvd's for the British Prime Minister to enjoy! Wow. That's... uh... really... uh... yeah.

If you want to read Glenn Beck's opinion about this, check out the full article. After all, it was his musings which brought this to my attention. I mean, what did Gordon Brown give you? A pen carved from the wood of the famous ship, HMS Resolute? To match that priceless desk in the whitehouse? And you gave him DVD's! How thoughtful.

I remember when I was just a young semi-pro alcoholic, dating a lovely lass who was learned in the ways of gift-giving. Her BFF at the time (they didn't even USE that term back then, can you imagine?) was having a birthday, and my lady had given a lovely lead crystal fish to her, knowing that fish, especially hand crafted lead-crystal ones, would be a well thought out gift. A few months later, the reverse scenario occurred, and what did my lovely lady get for a present? A turtleneck. It was a lovely turtleneck, don't get me wrong, but apparently this was NOT the same as a crystal fish. I, at the time, did not see the error in bff's ways, but I was educated to the faux-pas that occured. And HOW. Needless to say, that friendship terminated immediately over what I like to call "the plum turtleneck incident"

So, Mr. President, my observation from my own experience is this:

You can kiss our "friendship" with England goodbye. You just slapped the face of the Prime Minister, and the UK is NOT happy about it. Claiming fatigue is a lame excuse, because you have a whole stable of assistants who could've come up with something better than a 40 dollar collection of American move classics.

DVD's. Even I am not that thoughtless.

Some quick thoughts, just to change the topic

Been out doin' stuff, which is good, but alas the blog suffers. Whatever. It is all about me, after all. I have a million things to do, so let's just summarize a few things that need scratchin'....

A-Rod shouldn't be in this position to begin with, as I have already whined about. I guess he's the final nail in baseball's coffin. Stupid. Confidential apparently doesn't actually mean anything after all. I think he should sue the pants off of everybody involved in that 2003 test, and I get 10%.

Obama signs the Porkulus, so off we go into the wild blue ether. Where are all these dollars going? Why do I even ask these questions? I know I won't get any of it, so therefore I think it stinks.

Way to go Matt Kenseth! Winner of this year's Daytona 500. Last year wasn't so good, and even though this wasn't a whole race, he ran hard all day and got into the position he needed to be in to win. Gratz to Matt and the 17 crew.

You know why they fired Therrien? Because he speaks French. 'Nuff said. (on the honest side, it wasn't necessarily his fault, but if his players don't want to play for him, he might as well go now.)

I miss Football season. Oh! Speaking of which, who is the Thug of the Month? Marshawn Lynch! Way to propegate the stereotype, dumbass. It's "Black History Month", not "Make Blacks Look Bad Historically" month.

Three cheers to the Sherriff for not busting Phelps. He'll pay his penance, and we all move on. Whew!

What is this nugget of news? Michael Vick may be back with the 49ers??? If Goodell lets him play... ooooh... I'll... uh... write something about it here! But in the meantime, my radar will be up to spin on this story. Dog Killa gets to play ball! Well, maybe he can give some handgun tips to Plaxico.

Okay, that's enough tidbits for now. I think I'll write about Israel next...

When it rains it pours, Plaxico!

Ah, Plaxico. Just when you thought shooting yourself in the leg was the beginning of the end of your troubles, we keep finding out you have all kinds of cute little skeletons in your closet. Seriously now, why didn't you just pay the guy? I guess it's hard to live up to your contractual obligations when you pull up in the Avalanche(bad omens, anyone?) you borrowed and it looks like swiss cheese. Okay, maybe there weren't any bullet holes in it. But I'd be pissed if I lent my car to you and it came back damaged...

This is not the actual vehicle, but you get my point. Then you don't even have the courtesy to show up to do your autograph signing for the dealer, although you would have to sign a lot of autographs to pay off the 22,000 that was awarded to them. At this point, I'm sure the value of your autograph isn't where it should be for a superstar receiver. Dumbass. You make millions, and you can't do the right thing EVER? You disrespect your team on a regular basis by not showing up to meetings, shoot yourself in the leg so you can't help them in the playoffs, and now everybody wants a piece of your ass. There is a bright side though, at least you were more accurate shooting yourself in the leg than Eli Manning was on Sunday. Even you couldn't have helped him with that one, unless you could've capped him in the leg so the backup could've played.

However, keep up the good work. It gives me something to write about, and makes me feel better about my own indiscretions. I'm SO glad you're not playing for Pittsburgh any longer, we need guys that can play, not sit on the sidelines... or worse, in a jail cell. Have a fun offseason, I'll be waiting for the next round.
