Stephen Colbert: I Am America (And So Can You!)

I like this guy. If you like the Colbert Report, then you'll love this book. It's chock full of his unique witticisms, so if you're a fan, it's truly a must-have. I could expound on the content, but the book forbids me from doing that. I'd lend you a copy, but that's forbidden too. There are many things I would love to tell you about it. Nope. No can do.
Seriously though, it was a great read, one that will take you just a few nights or a couple hours in the afternoon to get through, since it's only about 220 pages long, with illustrations (and fun zones, lol). I'm snickering to myself as I'm writing this thinking of all the little details that make it a fun read, but telling you would be spoiling it for the treasure trove of off-wit that it is. So, tough. Go out and get yourself a copy, give it as a gift to friends who like his show. You, and they, will not be disappointed.

Ahhh, Happy New year Frandog.
Hope 09 is better than 08, but said that last year about 07, 06, and 05...does it EVER get better?

Oh well. Life could be worse. I do live in SFL - which means today it is Sunny, 80, cloudless, and I am off to the beach...

And you?

Oddly enough, every year technically DOES get better, because we're here to enjoy it. Well, maybe not enjoy it, but we're here, which is more than some of us can (no longer) say.

I've already waxed about last year, and I have to say it wasn't that bad. Actually these past few years have gotten better (microscopically) for me, even though the rest of the world hasn't been too rosy. Be glad you don't live in Israel right now.

And for all the folks that do read my ramblings, you should be rightfully pissed that our anonymouns friend here is currently in SFL, which is 80 and sunny at the moment. Going to the beach on New Year's eve. A pox on thee! Next year we're going to fly you up to Buffalo for the whole winter season (without winter clothing), then you can truly complain about how this year sucks compared to last year.

Life can always be worse... there is no "Well, it can't get worse than this". Yes, it can. I've lived it and breathed it. I don't want to be preachy, but call your friends and families and tell them you love them. And stay of the f*cking roads if you're hammered.

Crap, this reply is longer than the post. Hmmm....
